From The Heart

As I write this article, I'm thinking about the person that has just spent the last thirty minutes or so in a heated conversation with their spouse, trying everything possible to communicate those deep intimate feelings. I mean you've dug down into the depths of your innermost being or the wells and recesses of your heart to explain what is going on in your mind, and even as you speak, you feel vulnerable because you know that the information you're giving can easily be used to destroy you. As you complete your last few words, you're looking into your spouse's eyes and it becomes very obvious that he/she doesn't have a clue. As you walk away, your mind screams inside of your head, "Does anyone out there speak my language? Is there anyone out there who understands?"

Well Saint of God I've got some good news for you! God tells us in His Word (The Bible) that He understands and He understands perfectly.

You see, one of the attributes or characteristics of God is the fact that He is Omniscient (all knowing and all wise). And since He is Omniscient (all knowing and all wise), He even knows what we are thinking, what we feel (Psalm 139:1-6), and what to do about it. And get this! Our God is so wise He also knows all about the possibilities of life (you know, those what "ifs") and what to do about them as well.

Now lets put all of this information together. I hope you've noticed that I've been referring to you as a Saint of God. When I call you a saint of God, all I'm saying is what born again Christians know well! All those who have personally received Jesus

Christ as Lord and Savior are called saints. And since you're a saint of God, you have come to understand that God loved you even when you weren't His. And now that you're His (come into relationship with Him through Christ Jesus), He loves you even more. And since He loves you, He wants you to know that He thinks of you twenty-four hours a day and every day of the year (Jeremiah 29:11-13 and Jeremiah 33:3). And since this is true, He also tells us that He wants us to come unto Him so He can instruct, guide, and direct us in any and every situation that we face, including this misunderstanding that you're having with your spouse. He wants us to know that as soon as we follow instructions, He will guide, direct, and instruct us, and even show us "great and mighty things, which thou knowest not (things we couldn't have known without His guidance, direction, and instruction)!"

Did you hear that saint? Our God is telling us that He has an answer to that scream that went off in our mind. Remember? As you were walking away from your spouse your mind screamed, "Does anyone out there speak my language? Does anyone understand?" And God says, "I do my beloved! I do! And if you'll come unto me I'll not only nurture and console you, I'll guide, direct, and instruct you. And this guidance and instruction will cover the situation you're now in and even give you direction and a plan for the future. And if you'll come and then make the decision to follow my instructions, your spouse may still not understand you, but you'll be enlightened, strengthened, encouraged, and begin to experience peace that will surpass all understanding. So please, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30, KJV)."

Until next time my beloved!
